Bio
Mariela Valdivia joins Able.City as one of San Antonio’s preeminent multi-family housing architects. She has more than twenty-one years’ experience as an architect and project manager. Mariela, originally from La Paz, Bolivia, completed her education at the Universidad de San Andres Mayor in La Paz in September 2001. She began her career with the Bolivian National Railway Service in La Paz before joining the prestigious Peñaranda y Asociados. She moved to San Antonio in January 2007. Since arriving she built her career through tireless commitment, relationship building, and a commitment to environmentally friendly and community-centric project management. She has managed more than fifty multi-family projects in San Antonio, Austin, and their surrounding areas. She also spent more than a decade as a project manager with San Antonio’s City Public Service Energy. Furthermore, she is recognized as an international member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She is also an award-winning artist, having shown her work multiple times during the past seven years. She is a member of the San Antonio Art League and Museum. Mariela and her husband live in San Antonio. They have two sons.
