Summary

The Children’s Advocacy Center Project provides Laredo and Webb County with a new state of the art 11,000sf facility on 1.2 acres. The garden at the center of the facility is bounded on four sides by four protective homes. Each home houses the tools for a child’s recovery from child abuse; some of the services offered are forensic interviews, individual and family counseling, coordination with partner law enforcement agencies, facilitation of victim compensation applications. When children enter, they do not feel lost as they move through the services because they can always orient themselves with the center garden.
