Bio

Gilbert is a lifelong San Antonian, born and raised in its historical West Side. His experiences and admiration for culture have fostered a strong passion in the pursuit of architecture as an instrument for opportunity in underserved communities. With over a decade of experience in all phases and scope of design, Gilbert brings a dynamic range of creative thinking and problem-solving skills. His belief is that architecture should respond to its environment and surrounding culture, and speak to its communities. Through community engagement, Gilbert believes a bridge can be constructed to ensure that architecture meets the true needs and responsibilities of its users.
