Bio
Teresa Barker was born and raised in Laredo, TX. She attended the University of Texas of San Antonio for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. While studying for her undergraduate degree, Teresa had the opportunity to study abroad in Urbino, Italy for a semester. Her experience in Italy surrounded by historic architecture and learning about the importance of preserving the historic fabric led her to pursue a certificate in historic preservation as a graduate student. She lived in San Antonio for over 11 years and in 2020 returned to Laredo, TX. She hopes to apply what she has learned and will continue to learn, to enhance her hometown and improve quality of life through architecture.
Teresa is a registered architect, LEED Green Associate and is currently pursuing her WELL AP certification.
